Dr. Matt Butryn, Ph.D.

Dr. Butryn graduated from Allegheny College in 1994 with a degree in Psychology and a Mathematics minor. He then pursued his Master's and Doctorate degrees at The University of Georgia and graduated from the Clinical Psychology Program. He had an internship at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. His residency was at the Tampa VA Medical Center with a rotation at Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. Dr. Butryn then completed his neuropsychology fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Ernie Taylor at Associates in Behavioral Health, Athens, Georgia.

Dr. Butryn is a member of the American Psychological Association, APA-Division 40 Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, and National Association of School Psychologists. He is a consulting neuropsychologist for St. Mary's Hospital where Dr. Butryn is also the chair of its Allied Health Professionals Credentialing Committee.  He also performs evaluations for The University of Georgia Athletic Association.

He is an avid sports fan, especially football and hockey. In his free time, Dr. Butryn enjoys spending time with his family and traveling as well as participating in his children's marching band activities!
